This was my very first house purchase and I am incredibly disappointed that it was such a bad experience. Realtors always pretend to make their customers feel special and seen and in this case I didn’t feel either. It was very transactional which would have been okay and worthy of 3 stars if it was done professionally from start to finish but while Brittany was very attentive, timely and motivated during our showings and the sales process, she dropped the ball following the closed deal. We were not met at the house for a warm welcome or key exchange since she had other commitments. Thank God there was a lockbox - I guess. No problem, I am very empathic to life happening, but she did not show up the next day, or the following day to close the loop and “be done with us”. We had to follow up 2.5 weeks later to ask when we could expect a visit to meet in person and for her to close the loop and do her quality assurance. We were offered a visit the following week and an apology excusing the lack of communications due to personal reasons. Don’t get me wrong, life happens, but where are the partners/colleagues to pick up the slack when a team member is struggling?! This is not just on the individual but the entire group representing the area (Cowichan Homes Group / ReMax Generation). They let her down and I am leaving this review for the entire team so they hopefully connect and review how they work together. At this point in time we were upset and hurt and decided to pick up our “welcome gift” at the office ourselves. What we received was a joke and felt like an insult. A gift basket full of “Cowichan Homes” and “ReMax” branded stuff (wine glasses, a bottle of wine, two soap bars, key chains, etc. all branded) that no one uses because in all honesty - who wants to be a brand ambassador for their realtor if the experience was so disappointing? We returned the gift basket since we don’t have any use for it. We requested to connect with the manager and had a pleasant phone call with Jennifer who assured us that she would follow up and they’d make an effort to leave this experience on a good note. What followed was an awkward visit from our realtor (Brittany) two days later, with gift cards and a plant in hand, apologizing for the experience. I know this must have been hard and I wish her manager (Jennifer) would have made an effort to be there as well to make it less awkward and to show that she cares trying to meet with us in person. Taken by surprise I thanked our realtor and the conversation was done within 2min. Jennifer never followed up, which to me is another let down. The customer service experience all together was dissatisfactory. Neither with the gift basket nor with the “handover” of three envelopes with gift cards did we receive a personalized note. I don’t expect a letter, but a card with a signature showing someone took an extra 5min out of their day to personalize something would have gone a long way and would have meant more to me than either gift at this point. This being my very first home purchase - ever - I was expecting a better customer experience. I usually don’t bother leaving bad reviews but this has been such an insult and hurtful and I don’t want anyone else to go through this experience. I am a first time home buyer. This is a big deal to me! Anytime someone buys a home it IS A BIG DEAL! And Jennifer assured us that’s one of their values and they take people buying a home very seriously - I did not feel that in any way. I do not recommend choosing Cowichan Homes if you consider selling or buying a home in the area.

She was prompt and responsive to communicate with and had a very positive attitude. She was timely in letting us know when appropriate properties became available and ultimately helped us buy the property we wanted.

Britt was great, very accommodating. Was extremely felixible and helpful in our home purchase. Felt great having a realtor that looked out for and acknowledged our wants and needs and didn't push us towards anything. Didn't feel as if we were just "clients". I would recommend Britt to anyone I know who is in the market and have already suggested her to people potentially looking to get into the market.

Brittany helped me find the perfect house. She is so helpful, friendly and super responsive to any inquiries. I did not feel pressured at any point which is super important to me. She's a fantastic person and realtor. 10/10, 100% would recommend Brittany to anyone!
