A steady hand through a long journey ------------------------------------------------------------ We worked with Keith Johnston over a span of six months (perhaps eight… who’s counting!) to find our home in the Ottawa area, from the depths of winter to the heat of summer. It was a long journey, filled with countless visits and shifting priorities, and throughout it all, Keith remained remarkably patient and supportive. He never rushed us, never pushed us toward a decision, and always respected our pace. One of the standout aspects of working with Keith was his near-constant availability. While we’re happy with the property we purchased, not all of our requests were met, likely due to challenges on the seller’s side. If something wasn’t in the listing, he made sure to find out for us. He was very punctual, respectful, and always tried his best to make time for us, even on short notice. There was even a period when we had given up our search, but he continued looking on our behalf just in case—and that dedication really stood out. When we finally did find our home, he was always one step ahead, guiding us smoothly through the process. On a personal note, I can be a little hard to deal with at times not because I’m difficult, but because I’m neurodivergent. Keith never once made me feel like I was “too much” or asking too many questions. He met me with patience, understanding, and respect at every step. That empathy meant the world to me and made the experience so much less stressful. Beyond his professionalism, he’s genuinely kind, funny, and empathetic—making the entire journey enjoyable and supportive. His character and commitment go far beyond what you’d expect from a realtor.
