<p>Recently Mike Johnston represented us while we were purchasing our first home and he did a fantastic job. We bought an inner-city attached infill that was in the pre-construction phase which made the process far more difficult and time consuming for Mike than most other real estate transactions. Throughout the purchasing and subsequent building process he was incredibly professional, friendly, diligent and timely. The purchase of our new property was a complicated one as it involved spec reviews, intricate contract work as well as numerous back and forth interactions between us and the builder.<br /> Mike was always there for us via phone, text or email and represented us well in every situation. He worked incredibly hard to put the deal together and worked even harder to get it finished. He would always go out of his way to meet us at various appointments and was constantly looking for solutions to our problems.<br /> In all, the purchase of our home was a long process and Mike endured through roughly six months of work including the purchase and development which is far more time than he would have spent on much easier sales. Re/max House of Realty is lucky to have such a great real estate agent representing their company. We would highly recommend him for anybody needing to purchase or to sell their property. <p>Mike Johnston is the only individual throughout the whole home-buying process that I didn't want to fire at any given point - including my wife ;-). All jokes aside, he truly was the pillar of stability in the process.</p> <p>Mike is, by nature, soft-spoken, with calm-energy. Some may find these traits out of the ordinary for a realtor, but it really works. What it means is that as a buyer (or seller - he sold our house as well), you never feel pressured or rushed. Mike listens to your list of wants, gives any necessary reality checks, and then searches out the properties that match your need. I felt like when we needed an outside opinion, Mike was a source of sensible advice. Sometimes he told us things we didn't want to hear, but it's good to have a realistic point of view sometimes - and it was always done with tact and respect, never did I feel ridiculed or judged.</p> <p>The logistics were all smooth as well. Mike embraces whatever approach works for you. For example, you can spend your time with him on the phone. Or if you'd prefer, email or text. The search he set up for us to watch the listings we would be interested in was far superior to the searches available online. It was tailored to our needs and I was excited every time I got an email saying there was a new listing. When it was time to view, he was totally flexible with our schedules, he was punctual, and was patient enough for us to go through every corner of every home. We viewed SEVERAL homes before finally finding the home that we now live in and LOVE. We felt bad and asked him if we were bothering him and of course he said we need to take our time and find the right home. We felt totally comfortable with him. Funny thing that has happened since the purchase - when it was time to furnish the house, my wife's anxiety turned to the furniture and one night she had a dream that Mike took us furniture shopping!! There's a joke in there, I'm sure, but the reality is that she felt like he was a good source of sound advice, utmost patience, and product knowledge. Not to mention his peacekeeping abilities.</p> <p>Mike went on holidays with his family while we were still searching, but before he left, he ensured we had everything in order for while he was gone. He set up a support network, and, lo and behold, a house came up that we wanted to view. His colleague met us and toured us around. We didn't buy the house, but it was relieving to know that we had coverage in Mike's absence.</p> <p>Overall, I can't say enough about my experience with Mike and the team. I truly recommend him to everyone and anyone I know, and even people I don't know!</p>

<p>We have had used Mike Johnston to sell two of our homes and bought our last home through Mike and his group. Mike is exceptional as he knows so much about the current market, the past history, and a great negotiator. It only took us a week to sell both our homes with him which made everything a lot easier for us. I thank Mike and his group for their professionalism.
