We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Rob. As first time homebuyers, we went in with little knowledge of the home buying process and were overwhelmed to jump right in. Rob answered all questions while guiding us and giving relevant tips to make this process seamless. At the very beginning, he took the time to break everything down step-by-step and made us feel more at ease to dive into this process with him. Not once did he ever make us feel pressured to close on a deal. His patience, kindness, dedication, & expertise is what really made this experience enjoyable. We would recommend Rob to anyone!

We had a fantastic experience working with Rob Shaw and can’t recommend him enough to anyone buying or selling on the North Island. After a frustrating start with other realtors—missed opportunities, poor communication, and pressure to settle—we were referred to Rob when a property we liked dropped in price. From the moment we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He arrived early, had everything ready, pointed out issues we hadn’t noticed (even security cameras!), and encouraged us to negotiate hard, which he clearly enjoys. He researched comparable sales, shared them with the listing agent, and helped us submit a strong offer. When the inspection came back with major concerns, Rob joined us on-site, climbed the roof with the inspector, and helped us ask the right questions. In the end, we decided to walk away, but Rob never pressured us and made us feel completely supported. Next, he listed our home—and again, he went above and beyond. He helped stage it, decluttered, rearranged furniture, and brought in a professional media team for photos, drone shots, and a virtual tour. The listing looked amazing and we got multiple offers within a week, selling near asking price. We still needed to find a new place, and the pressure was on. Rob was relentless—texting new listings within minutes, canceling personal plans to get us in quickly, and scrutinizing every detail during showings. He checked crawl spaces, tested appliances, and flagged issues we’d have missed. Just as we were about to book an Airbnb, Rob found us a vacant acreage that checked all the boxes. The house was beautiful, the location ideal, and the property had room for a few critters. Even though it was newly listed, Rob encouraged a bold offer, and we negotiated a successful deal that made sense for both sides. Now, we’re living on our dream property in the Comox Valley, and we credit Rob for making it happen. He’s professional, quick to respond, detail-oriented, and deeply knowledgeable—but more than that, he made us feel like friends, not just clients. He doesn’t just open doors—he works like he’s finding a home for his own family. If you want someone who truly has your back and knows how to get deals done, Rob’s your guy.

Great to work with. As our central point person, he helped guide us through everything; from how to interpret relevant findings in the inspection report, to helping us problem-solve our way through signing mortgage documents from the USA (probably helped more than the bank and broker). He had a calm cool approach to everything. We had 5 days in Campbell River to find a house before we moved and he lined everything up perfectly with a busy schedule that left us confident that we knew what was available in the market.

Rob was pleasant and easy to work with. He made purchasing our first home straight forward despite living out-of-province and working within considerable time constraints. He was always available for questions and was patient in guiding us through the process. He was exceptionally prompt and transparent with all communications. Overall I am quite happy with the services Rob provided as a realtor.

Rob was absolutely fantastic, I can not recommend him enough! He helped me navigate this new world of real estate and took the time and patience to listen to and answer all my questions. When the initial property I was interested in fell through he went above and beyond walking around the neighbourhood with me and reached out to contacts to see what else could potentially be available.
