Born and raised in Sarnia, Katie has a deep-rooted connection to the city and its surrounding areas. Growing up, she spent countless hours exploring the natural beauty of the region, including long runs and workouts through Canatara, Centennial Park, and Port Franks, which fostered a love for the outdoors and a strong sense of community.
Katie went on to become a student-athlete at Syracuse University, where she balanced the rigors of academics and athletics, earning her undergraduate degree (Graduated in 2015). This experience not only shaped her work ethic but also instilled a passion for connecting with people from all walks of life.
