Peter Kusch is a wonderful realtor to deal with. We have now bought and sold three houses with him since we moved to Calgary 18 years ago. He is always very accessible, gives great advice, has a network of contacts to tap into, listens to your needs, always has your best interests in mind (no pressure), and has extensive knowledge of the market. We recently sold a house in Sundance. It surprisingly only took two days after a fantastic listing. He also found us a perfect house in Deer Run that had everything we were looking for. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a realtor. He is as close to perfect as you can get.

Peter is an outstanding realtor. My wife and I used Peter based off the recommendation of her parents. We lived in a condo and with a kid on the way, we knew it was time to make “the move”. Peter was the listing realtor on our Condo. He actively pursued a buyer and held open houses to maximize the exposure of our condo. He put an emphasis on proper pricing of the condo to maximize interest. I feel that he was successful in doing this as we had continual showings for the 2 months that the condo was on the market, until it was sold. The steady flow of potential buyers along with the fact that the condo didn’t sell immediately, gave me confidence that we were successful in pricing the condo properly, getting us a fair price. Once the condo was sold, it was time to find a house. We stayed with my parents to allow us to find the “perfect house”(or at least “90% of a perfect house” says Peter). Peter spent the better part of a dozen house viewings, just to figure out what we did like and did not like. He was always available and always supported us to “just go have a look”, even though the house was likely not a winner. I believe he supported this approach because even the houses that we didn’t like, allowed him to get a better idea of what we wanted(needed) in a house. After 8 months and ~50 houses viewed, we found ourselves getting discouraged and becoming skeptical that what we wanted even existed in the neighborhoods we were looking in. Peter continued to tell us that “it will come, we just need to be patient”. In hindsight, Peter saved us from making a massive mistake as we, at times, were trying to talk ourselves into houses that we knew were not “the one”. Peter was not just trying to get a sale done. He was committed to getting us the house that we wanted and HE KNEW would come on the market at some point. We trusted him and we trusted his judgement. In the end, Peter texted us to look at a home that he thought would be perfect for us, less than an hour after the house came on the market. It had everything we had been looking for as well as the price point we wanted annnnnd it even had a bunch of our “nice to haves”. IT DID EXIST! Peter picked me up from my office on his way to the house and my wife met us there. Within 3h of the listing going up, we had viewed the house and had an offer written. ... There was another offer!! 😖 Peter, calmly discussed our options with us, articulating the pros and cons of each approach, without applying any additional pressure. He had already prepared several comparibles, including two renovated versions of a similar house layout sold in the neighborhood, giving us the confidence that the house was not just perfect for us but it was also a sound investment. We ended up increasing our offer to the full asking price... we won it! There was also a backup offer for “significantly more” that came in 2 days later after we had a conditional deal in place. This further assured us that we got a great house and a great deal. Peter’s commitment to educating us over the previous 8months and 50 houses is what gave us the confidence to act as swiftly as we needed to. He was the constant professional, worked for us the entire time and I can not state strongly enough how important it is to truly trust your realtor. Peter is knowledgeable and trustworthy. His professionalism is just a bounus. I intend to recommend Peter to anyone I met that is looking for a realtor. He is the best. -Mike (&Lisa) Keith

As far as R/E agents go, I consider Peter to be one of the better one's. He keep me appraised on the market followup with questions with city permits and titles.

Peter is very knowledgeable about the Calgary real estate market & also very professional. I have worked with him both on the buying & selling sides multiple times. In challenging buyers markets, he has sold houses for me within a week on the market for a fair price. There are different strategies when selling, and for me, expediency & very close to asking price are key - he has delivered on both occasions. I appreciate his practicality & evidence-based approach to valuations - both as a buyer & seller; his recommendations/valuations are fact-based considering current, relevant comparables & he doesn’t just say what you may want to hear. Homes are personal spaces & it’s important to have a non-emotional, balanced professional to guide in these transactions. I believe Peter has a high degree of integrity with respect to his clients and in dealing with other real estate professionals which is important to me. If I could say anything neutral, it would be that he perhaps does play on the safer side pricing-wise (for sales) but then again, it’s all very situation specific; a stale listing that sits due to a &2K over-pricing is a horrible & unfortunate situation so I’m glad that’s never happened with my deals. My family trusts him & has utilized his services for over 10 years & I would highly recommend him to conscientious sellers & buyers who want a warm, friendly, knowledgeable & well-balanced realtor.
