<p><br /> I enthusiastically recommend the services of Craig Doherty and Sotheby’s International Realty to any wishing to sell their residential real estate. We listed our house with Craig in February with the objective of moving into a new condo purchased for completion in June the same year. The market had been very strong the preceding fall and in February we anticipated receiving a high price. Craig prepared a beautiful video with the assistance of an airborne drone, and immediately commenced what was to become a series of weekly open houses. Following each open house he provided us with a detailed report of interest shown and kept us advised on the ever changing market condition which was not encouraging. Almost immediately after listing, the market began to fall and at Craig’s recommendation we dropped price from 1.6+ million to 1.4+ million. The ultimate purchaser visited our house during the first open house but declined to submit an offer feeling that the property was too expensive for their budget. They returned three months later and presented us with our only offer still significantly below our asking price. Following negotiation we settled on a fair and reasonable price acceptable to both buyer and seller. It is important to note that pricing and sales of all detached real estate properties in the greater Vancouver area had dropped substantially during the listing period, and, with very few exceptions, no sales were taking place. We are very grateful to Craig and the outstanding service provided by him and Sotheby’s which enabled us to complete our transition to our new home smoothly and without duress.</p>

Craig did a great job for us when we moved from a rental to our current home in North Vancouver. Craig patiently helped us learn about the market here. His presentation skills and especially his ability to present offers was hugely influential in the sellers’ decision to take our offer (it was a very tight market that we were buying into at the time - his skills in this area really were a huge reason we ended up in the neighborhood that we wanted to end up in).
